XIX. NN ULTRABALATON COMPETITION RULES
Please read the 2025 Competition Rules carefully. These have been updated based on the 2024 experience, with particular attention to lap time specifications, alternative event dates, and conditions for entries in the event of postponement.
1.) Acceptance of Competition Rules
By participating in the NN Ultrabalaton, the Participant acknowledges and agrees to abide by these rules and provide accurate information. These rules apply to all registered participants and team members named by team captains.
2.) Regarding Health Condition
The Participant declares that they are in good health and participating in the XIX. NN Ultrabalaton on their own responsibility, having prepared physically and mentally for the chosen course or tour. The Organizer is not responsible for any health deterioration during the event.
3.) Consent for Photos and Recordings
The Participant understands that photos and videos can be taken of them during the event. They consent to the Organizer making photos taken at the start and finish available for free on the NN Insurance website after the event. The Participant consents to the use of their photos and recordings in promotional materials. They acknowledge that external security cameras, staff-managed mobile devices, and railway crossing cameras may capture them on the course. The Participant agrees to receive emails or messages related to event information and future sports events at the contact details provided in their Personal Profile.
4.) Transfer of Registration
The Participant’s registration and race pack are non-transferable.
5.) Registration System and Personal Profile
Participants acknowledge the registration system introduced for the 2018 race and accept its terms as binding. Only one team captain role can be assigned per Personal Profile.
6.) Deposit for Teams of 2–13 Members
The Participant acknowledges the following:
I. For registered teams of 7–13 members who secure a place, a deposit of 40,000 HUF per team must be paid by September 25, 2024, to the Organizer’s bank account.
For registered teams of 2–6 members, the deposit of 40,000 HUF per team is due by September 30, 2024.
II. The remaining entry fee is due by January 15, 2025.
III. A team’s registration becomes valid only with the deposit payment.
IV. If the deposit is not credited by the specified date, the registration will be canceled.
V. If the total entry fee is not credited by January 15, 2025, the registration will be canceled, and the deposit will be forfeited.
VI. Any deposit paid after the specified deadline will be returned, minus banking fees, to the originating account.
VII. Any entry fee received after the deadline will be refunded, minus banking fees and the deposit amount, to the originating account.
VIII. No changes to the invoice or invoicing information can be made after registration.
7.) Lap Time
For the safe conduct of the event, teams must provide realistic and accurate lap times, as these help the Organizer determine start times and manage team movement on the course. The Organizer will use the average lap time to set point opening and closing times and ensure railway crossings are open. Failure to comply may result in disqualification. Exceeding the lap time by more than ±10% may result in disqualification.
Teams can calculate lap times accurately using the StafétApp lap time calculator. The Organizer reserves the right to adjust start times for teams based on checkpoint opening hours. Changes to lap times can only be made by the team captain through their Personal Profile until March 1, 2025.
8.) Changes to Shirt and Tank Top Sizes
For teams of 2–13 members, the registered tank top sizes can only be modified by the team captain through the Personal Profile until October 6, 2024. No changes to sizes will be allowed afterward, even in case of team member replacements. Individual participants in the McDonald’s BringaMánia Ultrabalaton Bike Tour can also modify tank top sizes until October 6, 2024.
9.) Cancellation of Paid Registration
I. Cancellations are accepted in writing by March 1, 2025, and 65% of the entry fee will be refunded.
II. After March 1, 2025, no cancellations or transfers to another year will be accepted, and no refunds will be issued.
10.) Liability Waiver
Collection of race bibs and race packs requires the Liability Waiver to be signed by the team captain and handed in as a printed original or certified copy at the race office. For teams, the waiver cannot be signed by anyone other than the team captain, and no substitutions will be allowed post-signing.
11) Entry Fee
I.) It is the responsibility of the competitor to meet the submission deadline! It is essential to note that the determining factor for deadline adherence is the date of receipt on the Organizer’s account, not the date of the transfer. In the case of an incomplete payment, the balance must be paid to validate the registration. Incomplete payment notifications will be sent via email, and participants will have eight calendar days to pay the outstanding amount. If the additional amount is not credited to the Organizer’s account by the deadline, the registration will be canceled. In such cases, the provisions of section 6 also apply. For teams, the entry fee must be paid in a single sum. The Organizer will refund separately transferred entry fees after deducting bank charges. The participant acknowledges that the Organizer can only issue an invoice to the billing name and address provided on the registration form by the team captain.
II.) Once registration is submitted, participants cannot modify the invoice or billing details.
12) Modifying the Team Size
Teams can only increase in size with the Organizer’s approval and upon payment of the applicable registration fee at the time of expansion. Requests for team expansion must be submitted via email to hello@ultrabalaton.hu. Please note that we cannot guarantee expansion requests. Factors considered include the availability of T-shirts, team start time, and the selected category’s capacity.
13) Collecting the Starter Pack
I.) A valid ID and an authorization letter signed by two witnesses, or a confirmation email of the payment, are required to collect the McDonald’s BringaMánia Ultrabalaton Bike Tour starter pack.
II.) The individual and team starter packs can be collected with a unique QR code available through the StafétApp. If the individual participant or team captain does not have the StafétApp, the starter pack can be collected by the individual participant or team captain (with a personal ID) or by an authorized person (with an authorization letter signed by two witnesses or the payment confirmation email) who must also present a photo ID.
III.) A deposit of 5000 HUF is required upon collection of the chips, and only bills of 5000 HUF or smaller will be accepted. Chips can be returned until May 9, 2025,
IV.) Starter packs of teams that were not collected before the race will be stored and issued until May 9, 2025. After this date, starter packs cannot be collected.
The provisions of section 10 remain applicable.
The participant agrees that due to the current pandemic and wartime situation, the Organizer is obligated to comply with all rules published in the Hungarian Gazette.
14) Start Times
The Organizer will publish the final team start times by March 10, 2025. Start times cannot be changed under any circumstances.
I.) Individual races start at a fixed start time.
II.) The Organizer will individually start teams of 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 members when possible, but may assign a fixed start time. In cases of fixed start times, multiple start times may be assigned, with separate starts for „slower” and „faster” teams. For fairness, only the faster teams are considered for results in these cases.
III.) Teams with 2-13 members can adjust lap times due to member changes, which can be modified in the team captain’s personal profile until March 1, 2025.
15) Corporate Team Competition
In the Corporate Team Competition category, the team name must include the company name. Teams from the same company will start together, provided their lap times allow. In cases of significant lap time differences, the Organizer reserves the right to assign separate start times.
16) Rights for Entry and Selection of Start Times for the 2026 NN UB
The participant acknowledges that the Organizer grants early registration and start time selection rights for the 2026 NN UB to the 1st-3rd place winners in the male and female 7-13 person categories, and the 1st-3rd place winners in the 7-13 person corporate category, provided they maintain the same team name, team size, team captain, and registration email, and meet registration and payment deadlines. The Organizer will consider the team’s lap time and the event’s pace limits during start time selection.
The participant acknowledges that early registration rights are also granted for the 2026 NN UB to the 1st-3rd place teams in the 2-6 person male, female, and mixed categories of the 2025 NN UB under the same conditions.
The participant acknowledges that early registration and start time selection rights are granted to teams with the most accurate lap times in 2025, provided they meet the same conditions.
The participant acknowledges that teams with average lap times who received start times after 16:00 in 2025 are granted early registration and start time selection rights for 2026, provided they meet the same conditions.
The participant acknowledges that teams completing the specified UTT-130 in 2025 will be granted early registration and start time selection rights for the 2026 NN UB, meeting similar conditions but with the option to expand team size.
The participant acknowledges that qualifying teams from the Ultrabalaton TRAIL in 2025 will receive early registration rights for 2026 under similar conditions, with the option to expand team size.
The applicant acknowledges that the Organizer may fill vacant spots for the 2025 race at their discretion from the waiting list, with the timing of joining the waiting list not affecting admission.
17) Parking
The participant agrees to follow all parking rules at the event center and transition points to ensure the safety and convenience of all participants. For environmental reasons, the Organizer may prioritize parking for minibuses at the event center. The race route will be marked with signs and markings, also found in the online program guide. Following the route is the responsibility of each runner, and assistance from STAFF members, police, and marshals must be followed. Non-compliance will result in the removal of the participant’s bib and chip, and exclusion from the race.
18) Force Majeure
The participant acknowledges that the Organizer cannot be held liable if the race is canceled due to uncontrollable external events (force majeure) such as weather conditions, pandemics, natural disasters, war-related measures, strikes, blockades, lack of route or venue permits, or other unforeseen and unavoidable events. In such cases, the Organizer will specify an alternate date (Section 19) with official notification and will not refund the entry fee. The Organizer reserves the right to modify the event location, date, and course. The participant acknowledges that state and local measures related to the pandemic and wartime situations may affect the 2025 event date.
19) Alternative Date for 2025
The Organizer has designated September 25-28, 2025, as an alternate date if necessary. The participant acknowledges that in the event of a change from April to the fall alternative date, participation cannot be canceled or deferred to another year. The Organizer reserves the right to reassign start times for the alternate date, publishing these no later than one month before the event. If the event cannot be held in the fall, the Organizer will announce its cancellation.
20) Refund Process in Case of Event Cancellation
While we hope to hold the event in 2025 as planned, the authorization and execution of a large-scale event like this can be affected by many unforeseen obstacles and conditions. To ensure the long-term viability of the event, the following refund terms are offered in case of cancellation.
Preparing and organizing NN UB takes a year and requires a dedicated team, whose efforts are ongoing even if the event is postponed or canceled. The Organizer covers ongoing preparatory costs (staff salaries, office expenses, program development, suppliers’ services, etc.) from the entry fees. Each postponement results in additional expenses. To ensure the event’s sustainability, we are implementing the following refund policy: in the event of a 2025 cancellation, 65% of the entry fee will be refunded to participants, with 35% covering past preparatory costs to support future events.
The participant acknowledges that if the event is canceled, the Organizer provides two options:
I. Transfer the entry to the 2026 event, with an additional inflation adjustment for 2026, as published by the Hungarian Central Statistical Office, to be paid by October 15, 2025. The Organizer will notify participants or team captains via the email provided during registration. If participants pay the adjustment, their entry will automatically transfer to 2026. Failure to pay the adjustment by October 15, 2025, will result in the entry fee being refunded as specified in option II, and the team’s registration will be removed.
II. If the participant opts not to transfer the registration to 2026, the Organizer will refund 65% of the original entry fee as follows:
The net 65% will be refunded upon issuing the cancellation invoice, with the 65% VAT portion refunded within 120 days of the invoice. This split is necessary as VAT is paid to the state upon receiving the entry fee and only reclaimed by the Organizer after issuing the cancellation invoice. Any delay beyond these deadlines will incur late interest according to Hungarian Civil Code Act V of 2013.
21.) Regarding the Route
The Organizer provides the route in the form of a gpx track. It is recommended to follow the route using a watch or phone. The Organizer places hundreds of signs to help with navigation, but unfortunately, in several cases, signs have been removed or turned around. Therefore, the official track provided is the definitive guide! We recommend downloading the track just before the event, as route changes may occur even in the last few days based on past experiences.
The Organizer reserves the right to change the route.
22.) In Case of Stormy Weather
In the event of stormy weather, the Organizer may temporarily or permanently suspend and then resume the race at any time. In the case of a suspended race, no replacement date will be set, and no refunds will be issued. The Organizer will inform participants during the race through social media – on the series’ Facebook page – and on the event website.
23.) Accuracy of Data
The Participant confirms that the data provided at registration is accurate and consents to its storage and use. The Organizer may send newsletters, informational text messages, and updates on further events to the provided email address or phone number.
24.) Doping
The Participant prepares for the race using clean methods. They do not use substances listed on the current WADA doping list, and – if required – provide a sample to inspectors after the race. Refusal may result in disqualification, and their results may be annulled. To ensure race integrity, participants in both the individual men’s and women’s events may be subjected to doping tests per international doping regulations. If a positive test result is found, the Organizer will disqualify the participant and adjust the rankings accordingly. For more details on banned medications and substances on the WADA list, click HERE.
25.) In Case of Timing System Malfunction
For accurate timekeeping, media motorbikes may accompany runners within sight. In the event of a timing system malfunction, motorbike escorts or staff will manually record passage at checkpoints.
For individual races, the Organizer will declare results based on the order of arrival at the finish area. For team events, due to different start times, results may not be announced without the necessary accurate data.
26.) Wearing of Race Number
The Participant must wear the race number on the front during the race. A 10-minute time penalty may be issued to anyone who folds, covers, or otherwise wears the race number in a non-visible manner during the race. A participant who continues to violate race number rules after a warning may be disqualified. The race number is essential for receiving the finisher’s medal.
27.) Disqualification
A participant can be disqualified if they:
I.) Do not complete the full distance designated by the Organizer.
II.) Fill out the registration form or Liability Statement inaccurately or incompletely, or not according to the facts.
III.) Use the chip improperly.
IV.) Do not wear the mandatory wristband required for teams and McDonald’s BringaMánia Ultrabalaton Bicycle Tour participants.
V.) Use transportation by bicycle or vehicle while wearing the chip.
VI.) In individual events or teams of 2-6, miss more than two timing checkpoints (for ultra-runners on Friday, timing checkpoints are mandatory as specified).
VII.) The Participant accepts that for the 211 km race, the Organizer may record their passage at unannounced points. If they show a significant deviation (25%+) from their average pace, the Organizer may disqualify them.
VIII.) Engage in physical aggression, spitting, vulgar speech, messages, or offensive comments on social media. In such cases, the Organizer will immediately disqualify the Participant from the race and may take official action if necessary. They will not accept future registrations from this participant for any of their events.
IX.) Violate smoking regulations in the race rules.
X.) Violate filming regulations during the event.
XI.) The Organizer calculates the opening and closing times of checkpoints based on the lap times provided by the team. The Organizer is only authorized to use the checkpoints and track during this timeframe and ensures safe passage at railway crossings. A leading motorbike/cyclist will lead the field, whom participants must not overtake. Violators may be disqualified from the race by the race director, will not receive medals, and will not appear on the results list.
XII.) Violate rules for crossing railway crossings. In case of disqualification, medals will not be awarded to individuals or teams.
XIII.) Teams that are more than 10% faster or 10% slower than the set lap time. The Organizer may disqualify such teams at the race director’s discretion, deny medals, and remove them from the results list.
XIV.) Endanger the personal safety of other participants.
XV.) Violate authorization terms based on the planned lap time, endangering the race’s long-term viability.
28.) Railway Crossings
The Participant must follow the instructions of the personnel at railway crossings. It is strictly prohibited and life-threatening to cross on a red signal, and violators will be immediately disqualified along with their entire team.
29.) Traffic Control
The Participant acknowledges that the race route crosses roads that are not closed to traffic. Crossings at these points are made at the Participant’s own risk. Traffic regulations apply according to local road rules at these points. The Organizer assigns course marshals and security personnel to most of these points to warn runners of vehicle priority and may delay them until it is safe to cross. Marshals, except for uniformed police officers, cannot stop vehicles or intervene in traffic; they can only delay runners. Please adhere to all compulsory regulations for the safety of the race and participants. Marshals work to assist and ensure your safety. The Organizer is not responsible for consequences resulting from a participant’s disregard of traffic rules or the instructions of marshals or traffic officers.
30.) For Cyclist Participants
Participants in the McDonald’s BringaMánia Ultrabalaton Bicycle Tour and individual cyclist supporters must wear helmets throughout the race! Proper lighting is mandatory on bicycles as per local road regulations.
31.) Refreshments
The Participant acknowledges that the Organizer provides different types of refreshments for participants in different categories. On the Friday ultramarathon day, the Organizer provides extra refreshment tables, as specified in the event description, for individual runners and teams of 2-3 people. For teams of 4-5-6 members, refreshments are provided as per the event description.
For teams of 7-13 members, each participant can receive water, isotonic drinks, bananas, dextrose, salted pretzels, and raisins at the relay points, the liquids are served in reusable cups brought by the participants. On team day, bananas will be provided in phases at the refreshment stations; consequently, there may be times when bananas are temporarily unavailable at certain stations.
For McDonald’s BringaMánia Ultrabalaton Cyclists, refreshments are available only at the 8 points specified in the event description.
For Project422 participants, refreshments are provided during the station operating hours. Any litter produced during the race should only be disposed of at refreshment and relay points, from where it will be collected by the Organizer. Disposing of litter along the route is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification.
32.) Relay Points
The Participant accepts that the Organizer designates specific relay points for teams, where relay exchanges and timekeeping take place. In case of unforeseen events, relay exchanges are also permitted outside of these designated points. In such cases, support vehicles must not interfere with runners, cyclists, or other vehicles properly moving along the route.
33.) Safety Checks
For safety reasons, wearing a headlamp is mandatory for runners during nighttime segments. Following dusk, the Organizer may check headlamp use at relay points, and only runners with headlamps will be allowed to continue. Cyclists must have lighting equipment in compliance with traffic regulations (KRESZ); without it, they can not continue the race.
34.) Prohibited Activities
Roller-skating (using kangoo shoes or other similar equipment), running with a dog or other animals, and competing without a race number (using trekking poles is allowed) are prohibited. Participants acknowledge that violation of these rules can result in immediate disqualification. Dogs may only be brought into the race center if they are muzzled.
35.) Running with Strollers
Running with a stroller is allowed only during daylight and entirely at the Participant’s own risk. The Organizer assumes no liability for accidents resulting from this.
36.) Marketing and Advertising
Any marketing or advertising activities at the event location, points, and along the route are only permitted with prior written approval from Balatonman Triathlon Kft.
37.) Additional Sponsors
Athletes called to the podium during the award ceremony can bring national flags, but not signs or banners displaying sponsors or supporters.
38.) Participant Age Regulations
The Organizer has set the maximum age limits (based on the total kilometers that can be completed in the race) as follows:
- I.) Marathon individual age limit: at least 16 years old, with written parental consent
- II.) Half marathon individual age limit: at least 13 years old, with written parental consent
- III.) 10 km individual race age limit: at least 10 years old, with written parental consent (when in a team)
- IV.) Children under 10 can only run under parental supervision or with an adult companion present
- V.) Individual races (211 km) can only be completed by individuals over 18 years of age
- VI.) Cycling individual age limit: at least 14 years old, with written parental consent and accompanied by an adult
39.) Medical Intervention
The Participant agrees that, if the medical staff determines that they are unfit to continue during the race, they will not be allowed to proceed. For individual participants—at relay points—race numbers and timing chips will be removed for safety reasons if the runner exceeds the individual time limit, meaning they cannot continue the race. In team races, the team can continue without the disqualified member.
40.) Participant Limit and Registration Closure
The Organizer reserves the right to limit the number of participants. Registration may be closed at any time, canceled, or reopened in the event of a technical issue.
41.) Swimming
Swimming in Lake Balaton during the event is at the Participant’s own risk. The Organizer accepts no liability for any accidents or other consequences resulting from this.
42.) Valuables
The Organizer is not responsible for valuables left in support vehicles or accommodations.
43.) Time Limits
Individual participants have 31 hours from the starting time to complete a lap.
For participants in the #Project422 category, a double lap must be completed within 61 hours and 27 minutes from the start.
Two-person teams have a 30-hour limit; three-person teams have 29 hours; four-person teams have 28 hours; and five-person teams have 27 hours. For teams of 6-13 people, the time limit is the lap time specified at registration (up to 27 hours), plus an additional hour (for a maximum of 28 hours). The Organizer will open and close the relay and refreshment points accordingly.
The McDonald’s BringaMánia Ultrabalaton Cyclists event has no time limit, but the finish area will close by 11 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, 2025.
Participants arriving outside the official time limits will not receive a finisher’s medal (individuals also do not receive a finishing ribbon), and their results will not be included in the official results list or statistics.
Participants who reach the finish area beyond the official time limit will be awarded a RESPECT commemorative medal, but only in person and within the official operating hours of the finish area. The finish area will close two hours after the individual time limit expires; for the #Project422 category, it will close five hours after the time limit. The commemorative medal can only be collected in person and will not be given to representatives or family members. The medal is awarded on the condition that the Participant completes the distance on their own, without external transport (such as car, motorbike, bicycle, skates, etc.).
44.) Time Credits
In 2025, no time credits will be applied at railway crossings or other traffic-controlled points, though traffic regulations (KRESZ) still apply.
45.) NN UB Ethics
The Participant acknowledges that mutual respect and acceptance are integral to the spirit of NN Ultrabalaton. The traffic controllers, parking staff, and other event staff work according to this principle. We are runners, and we make no distinctions based on skin color, religion, gender, or age. It doesn’t matter where we come from or how fast we are; we are united by our love for sports, respect for one another, and for the challenge ahead.
The registrant acknowledges that the organizing company is not a nonprofit association but a business entity that pays taxes and employee contributions according to current laws, contributing to the collective burden-sharing. Company employees also volunteer at other events, and each year the Organizer supports multiple charitable causes.
We love our work and are committed to providing the best possible events for our participants.
In cases of physical aggression, spitting, abusive language, messages, or offensive comments on social media directed at staff, the Organizer will immediately disqualify the Participant and take further action if necessary. Future registrations for any events organized by the company will not be accepted.
46.) Use of Drones
Drones may only be operated during the event with the prior written permission of Balatonman Triathlon Kft., in compliance with relevant regulations.
47.) Filming
Filming by crews accompanying teams or individual participants requires permission, granted only by the written approval of Balatonman Triathlon Kft. The Organizer requests that, when representing the event, the official name NN Ultrabalaton is used and that the final film is submitted for approval before publication.
48.) Smoking
Smoking is strictly prohibited on the race track and in the finish area to protect non-smokers, as it is incompatible with the spirit of sportsmanship. Participants found smoking in the event area, at refreshment or relay points, or in the start and finish areas during the event may be disqualified. In team events, only the offending athlete will be penalized.
49.) Insurance
The Participant acknowledges that the registration fee does not include insurance.
50.) Complaints
Any complaints regarding the event must be submitted to the Organizer in writing within 3 hours of the event’s conclusion. Complaints submitted after this time may not be reviewed by the Organizer.
51.) Participant Status
A participant may only compete as part of a single team. An individual participant cannot simultaneously be a member of another team.
52.) GDPR
By registering, each applicant consents to the processing, reproduction, and transmission of their personal data:
In accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of REGULATION (EU) 2016/679 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL (General Data Protection Regulation) on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, the applicant consents to the processing of their personal data – by registering for the NN Ultrabalaton race organized by Balatonman Triathlon Kft., the applicant voluntarily consents to the use of their data for event organization and event management purposes. Beyond event management, the applicant consents to:
– the use of photographs depicting the individual in Balatonman Triathlon Kft.’s marketing, advertising, and other informational materials,
– the reproduction of registration information, and
– the transmission of this information to or sharing it with third parties.
53.) Accommodations
The Organizer notes that, since the pandemic, every event date and execution carry a certain risk. For the NN UB, many teams or individuals book accommodations in advance for the announced date of the race. We recommend booking accommodations that are cancellable or transferable. The Organizer takes no responsibility for non-refundable accommodation costs arising from any date changes.
54.) PROJECT 422 ADDITIONAL RULES
Due to the extreme nature of the challenge, the Organizer imposes strict rules for participants, primarily to ensure their safety and physical well-being.
I. Qualification Races and Entry Requirements:
To qualify, participants must have completed three 200 km+ events within the last five years, with at least one completed within 29 hours.
Please send a motivation letter to hello@ultrabalaton.hu by November 1, 2024, detailing the charitable cause you intend to support, your reasons for participating, your journey so far, and who you truly are.
The organizing team will notify selected participants who will have the opportunity to start in 2025 on November 15, 2024, at 7:19 p.m.
II. Timing for #PROJECT422 Participants:
Timing checkpoints are optional for individual double-lap participants, who need only scan their timing chip at the end of the first and second laps. Each participant will have a tracker, allowing supporters to follow them online.
IMPORTANT! No time credits will be applied at railway crossings, but safety personnel will be present until the end of the team competition day. During the 422 km course, individual participants may be manually checked at several undisclosed points. At the end of the race, individual completion times will be reviewed; if a significant deviation (25%+) from the personal average is detected on any section, and rule violations are confirmed, the participant will be disqualified from the results list.
III. Time Limit
Individual participants have 61 hours and 27 minutes from the start to complete the 422 km double lap. Five cut off points will be used to verify timing in the first lap, and the second lap must begin by 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, 31 hours after the individual start.
The second lap timing will be verified at the same five cut off points, which will be announced in advance. Alongside the second lap timing, the maximum time on the course has been calculated to include the finish area’s extended 5-hour opening. After exceeding this time, the participant must stop running, enter the support vehicle, and consider the race over.
Sleeping or extended rest is allowed but counts toward the total time, with no additional credits given.
IV. Self-Support Race
While participants may receive refreshments at designated points, due to the extreme difficulty of this event, each participant must provide their own supplies and support team.
V. Charitable Cause
Each participant must designate a charitable cause and initiate fundraising for it.
VI. Bicycle and Vehicle Support
Participants must register at least two bicycle supporters who also agree to the special rules. A bicycle supporter must be present and within visible distance during the second lap.
Participants must also have vehicle support. The name, phone number, and vehicle license plate of the driver must be submitted to the organizing team.
VII. Railway Crossings
After the closure of the Saturday team competition, there will be no safety personnel at railway crossings; nevertheless, crossing under a red signal is still strictly prohibited.
VIII. Mandatory Withdrawal Rule
Participants agree that on the second lap, five pre-designated points, labeled as „Respect Medal Time Checkpoints,” will be assigned, beyond which continuation of the race is not allowed under any circumstance.
Participants also accept that, under the supervision of the official rescue personnel overseeing #Project422 participants after the team competition day closure, they may be removed from the race before the time limit expires if deemed necessary for safety.
55.) Pre-Registration and Start Time Selection for the 2025 NN UB
The participant acknowledges that team captains granted early registration for 2024 may register their team for the 2025 NN UB starting at 7:19 p.m. on September 12, 2024. The pre-registration period will end at 11:59 p.m. on September 17, 2024. After this period, teams not registered will lose their early registration rights.
When registering, the team captain may choose from pre-determined start times based on the team’s estimated lap time. Start times are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
The participant agrees that the selected start time cannot be changed after registration.
We wish you a great race!
The Organizer reserves the right to modify the program and rules.
