Our official refreshment partner at our races, BioTechUSA, is one of Europe’s largest dietary supplement manufacturers and has been a regular presence at our events for over eight years. Every year, we work hard to combine our efforts to raise a significant amount of donations. For years, we have strived to break records again with the close-knit community of NN Ultrabalaton and the BioTechUSA group’s commitment program and consumers!
What exactly is the BioTechUSA NN Ultrabalaton Charity program?
We launched the BioTechUSA NN Ultrabalaton Charity initiative in 2019 to support the charitable causes you have suggested and voted for! Over the past years, thanks to the unused deposit fees from runners’ timing chips and the support of the BioTechUSA group, we have contributed more than 63 million HUF in cash donations for the treatment of sick children!
The face of our campaign is actress Diána Kovács-Nyári, the charitable ambassador of BioTechUSA, who is also a regular participant in the NN Ultrabalaton races, alongside Tibor Erős, the absolute individual winner of the 2024 race!
Our joint achievements in numbers:
- Nearly 210,250 votes received
- Almost 90,000 charitable runners
- Donations collected by runners: 23,894,930 HUF
- Donations offered by the BioTechUSA group: 40,000,000 HUF
- Hundreds of social media and press appearances, providing a platform for those with fewer opportunities to seek help
In 2024, hospitals took center stage!
- We wanted to create change in as many people’s lives as possible with our donations, so we decided to continue supporting healthcare institutions and hospital departments in 2024, following our efforts in 2023.
- With the donations offered by runners and BioTechUSA, we contributed to the acquisition of essential diagnostic or rehabilitation equipment, the development of departments, the immune protection of staff, and other goals. We hope that this support has helped many people in their recovery and healing!

You decide whom we should support! Here’s how the selection process works:
- Follow the NN Ultrabalaton Facebook page, where we will announce the BioTechUSA NN Ultrabalaton Charity program for the year. We ask you to suggest healthcare institutions and hospital departments in the comments!
- After one week, we will select, in collaboration with BioTechUSA, the institutions that best fit our donation program.
- The selected institutions will be featured on the BioTechUSA NN Ultrabalaton Charity voting page, where the community can vote for two weeks to decide which three organizations will receive support at the end of the race based on the most votes.
How can runners collect donations?
The secret lies in the timing chip:
When picking up their race packets, participants will receive timing chips for a 5000 HUF deposit.
After the race, you can choose to reclaim this amount, or if you participated as part of a team, you can collectively donate it to support the community-voted charitable causes!
In return for your donation, every participant will receive a unique and limited BioTechUSA gift!
BioTechUSA also joins in the donations:
- The BioTechUSA group has contributed to our 2023 success by increasing the support budget!
- The cash donations collected by the running community were supplemented by 3×5 million HUF…
- …and during the campaign, they encourage customers to add a Charity coupon of any value to their webshop purchases: the amount collected will also be donated by the company to the voted causes!
