COURSE RECORDS
Men’s course record 2023 – Mihalik Norbert with a time of 16 hours, 27 minutes, and 54 seconds on the 211 km course.
Women’s course record 2022 – Cseke Lilla with a time of 20 hours, 15 minutes, and 15 seconds on the 211 km course.

RACE PACK PICKUP
The condition for picking up your race pack is a completed liability waiver!
You can pick up your race pack before the event at our Budapest office at 1134 Budapest, Tüzér utca 9-11, or in Balatonfüred at the race center on Thursday or Friday, before the start. (The exact schedule for race pack pickup will be published prior to the event.)

AWARDS

• Every participant who finishes within the time limit will receive a unique finisher medal and an individual finishing ribbon.
• Participants who finish outside the time limit will receive a RESPECT commemorative medal.
• The top three in each category will receive a trophy.
• The overall winner will take home a trophy that includes their name along with the names and times of previous winners.

REGISTRATION
The registration platform for the XIX. NN Ultrabalaton will open on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 7:19 PM! At that time, you will also be able to select your race number.
A Personal profile is essential for registration, which can be created by clicking HERE.
Your data can be modified at any time.
Please ensure that your name is saved according to Hungarian rules, meaning LAST NAME first, FIRST NAME last. This is important for registrations made via Gmail.

REGISTRATION FEES
The amounts indicate the fee per person (HUF/person), and the deadlines refer to registration and payment deadlines—please keep this in mind for transfers!

The amounts are understood in gross and in Hungarian forints.
Unpaid registrations will be CANCELLED by March 16!

THE ORGANIZER MAY ADVANCE THE PAYMENT DEADLINE BEFORE THE FINAL DATE, BUT WITHIN THE LAST PRICE RANGE, AND WILL NOTIFY REGISTRANTS BY EMAIL!

In case of personal cash payments, individual participants can choose one gift item from previous years while supplies last! (Please note that we cannot provide a full size assortment for gift t-shirts, and last year’s headlamps and soft cups are also available in limited quantities. Therefore, we can only guarantee this promotion while stock lasts. Thank you for your understanding!)

ATTENTION!
We are unable to accept postal checks.
If the registration fee is initiated via postal check, the bank will immediately return it.
The registration fee must be transferred in one lump sum.
Invoices can only be issued to the name and address provided during registration; we cannot break down invoices.
Separately received fees will be refunded to the sender after deducting bank charges!

THE CONTENTS OF THE RACE PACK

• Individual, personalized race number (wearing it is mandatory)
• Name-tagged NN UB technical running shirt (MIZUNO)
• Wristband; wearing it during the race is optional for individual participants, but mandatory for biking companions, as it allows them to access extra services at key points.

INDIVIDUAL CHOICE OF RACE NUMBER
When submitting your individual registration, you must select your race number. If you have a favorite number that motivates you during the race, it’s worth registering as soon as possible! Keep in mind that some numbers are already assigned to participants, such as number 18, which is reserved for Gilles Pallaruelo, and number 1 for János Bogár.

FOR YOUR BIKING COMPANIONS
Riding around Lake Balaton is a significant challenge even at your own pace, but as a biking companion, adapting to the pace of the runner you are supporting is an extraordinary achievement. To assist those companions who may spend up to 31 hours in the saddle, we would like to provide the following:

• A unique race number (which identifies them at the refreshment stations, allowing them to refresh from inside the tent)
• Access to refreshments at every point, with all available products
• Like the ultrarunners, they will be welcomed with warm meals at five points
• Their finisher medal ribbon will be different from other cyclists’
• If you wish to register a biking companion, they can be registered when submitting the individual registration on the individual registration platform. A maximum of two companions can be registered for each individual entry.

TIMEKEEPING
Timekeeping will occur at designated points using an online system. Individual competitors are required to use the timing points, with a maximum of TWO stations allowed to be skipped! Competitors who skip more than this will be disqualified from the race.
IMPORTANT! No time credits will be applied at railway crossings, but we will provide security personnel. Throughout the 211 km, we may also manually record the passage of individual competitors at several points that are not disclosed in advance. At the end of the race, we will examine the times of individual finishers; if significant deviations (25%+) are found in comparison to their average performance across the segments—and it is proven that a rule violation has occurred—the competitor will be disqualified from the results list!

CHIP DEPOSIT FEE – BIOTECHUSA NN ULTRABALATON CHARITY PROGRAM
When picking up the race pack, individual participants will receive chips for a deposit of 5,000 HUF. We cannot accept banknotes larger than 5,000 HUF when paying the deposit.
Remember, in 2025 there will also be a BioTechUSA NN Ultrabalaton Charity! Within the framework of the Charity Program, you have the opportunity to donate the chip deposit fee for charitable purposes, which is voted on every year by the NN Ultrabalaton and BioTechUSA community! In return for charity donations, we will again be offering gifts to you in 2025!

Unreturned chips at the finish area can be refunded until May 9, 2025.

CUT-OFF TIME
Individual participants have 31 hours from the start to complete the 211 kilometers. After the cut-off time, individual participants arriving at each relay point cannot continue for safety and health reasons.

To stay within the cut-off time, you must pass through the designated timing points marked in RED HERE within the indicated time! Competitors who finish after the cut-off time will have their race numbers removed at the points marked in RED, and they will not receive medals, finisher shirts, or goal ribbons.

TECHNICAL MEETING
The evening before the race, starting from 5:00 PM, we will hold a technical meeting in the main tent, before the pasta party, specifically for individuals, as well as teams of two, three, four, five, and six. The meeting will be conducted in Hungarian and English, providing an opportunity to ask the organizers any questions.

START TIME
Individual competitors will start on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 7:00 AM. The accompanying cyclists will also start at the same time after the runners.

REFRESHMENTS
We will have over 45 refreshment points at the event to help you replenish lost fluids and calories.

At the refreshment points, you can expect the following:

GYERMELYI PASTA PARTY
Make sure to arrive at the competition center on time on Thursday because starting at 16:00, we will host the first 1,000 participants at the Gyermelyi Pasta Party. To participate in the pasta party, you must wear the wristband provided with your race pack.

#RUNGREEN
In 2025, the race will again be organized with an eco-friendly approach. There will be no disposable plastic cups at the refreshment points; instead, you can receive refreshments in your own cup, soft cup, or a water bottle rented at the competition center. Waste generated during the race will be sorted and sent for recycling.

HOT MEAL POINTS AND PERSONAL REFRESHMENTS
We will provide hot meals and packaged soup at five designated points for individual participants and their cycling companions. You can send personal refreshments and change of clothes to these points. These items must be delivered to the competition center by Thursday evening at 20:00.

• 39.5 km: Badacsonyörs, Varga Winery
• 73.6 km: Keszthely
• 89.6 km: Balatonmáriafürdő (west side)
• 135.1 km: Balatonföldvár (west side)
• 177.3 km: Balatonkenese

Each „hot meal” station will have a microwave available for heating food.

WINE CELLAR RUN
The route will pass through the Varga Winery’s cellar at the 39.5 km mark, which can be accessed via a staircase. The temperature here is expected to be lower, and humidity will be higher than outside.

OPENING HOURS OF THE FINISH AREA
The finish area will open after the first individual finisher arrives, but no later than 01:00 the day after the start.

MASSAGE
After the race, massages will be available at the individual finish area.

AWARDS CEREMONY
As per tradition, the awards ceremony will be held on Sunday at the same time as the large team awards. We will provide front-row seating for individual competitors. Awards will only be presented during the awards ceremony! We kindly ask the podium athletes to honor the event and their competitors with their presence at the ceremony. Awards will not be presented or mailed to those who are late.

MEDICAL SUPERVISION
A medical team will accompany the runners, with ambulances and motorbikes on standby. You can find their contact number on your race number. Please pay special attention to fellow runners who may be in distress! If the medical team determines that a competitor is unfit to continue, they may remove the runner’s race number and disqualify them from the event.

PHOTOS
Photos taken at the start and finish will be available for free download after the race from the NN Insurance website. Please note that due to the high number of participants, we cannot guarantee that everyone will have a photo taken, so it’s a good idea to have an enthusiastic photographer among your companions!

Throughout the route, professional photographers from Futófotó will take pictures of you, which can be searched by race number on the futofoto.hu website!

OUR RUNNING ETHIC
During the NN Ultrabalaton, we are guests of Lake Balaton. We would like to return the lake and its surroundings in at least as clean a state as we found them, but we need your cooperation to achieve this! The local communities warmly welcome us each year. Our race is known for its good atmosphere, but we ask you to respect the peace of the residents along the route and those who are not participating in the race!

Help fellow runners in trouble, even if it means you lose time.

We are runners. We do not distinguish ourselves by skin color, religion, gender, or age. It doesn’t matter where we come from or how fast we go. What unites us is our love for sport and the mutual respect we have for each other and the distance.

The helpers at the stations will cheer you on and assist you to the best of their ability.

True, this is a race, but please keep the rules of fair play in mind at all times! Win or lose, do so cleanly and with your head held high, following both the written and unwritten rules! Do it not for others, but for yourself. This will make the experience unforgettable and will make you an inseparable part of what we call the NN ULTRABALATON.
